This time I spied testing the 2017 BMW X3 at the Nurburgring. The new X3 G01 will be more fun to drive, lighter and more economical. People can expect a basic rear-wheel-drive 18d to an all-wheel-drive 35d than before.
The X3 will adopt the plug-in hybrid technology from the X5, relying on a 245bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 95bhp electric motor for a combined power output of over 300bhp. The aggregate maximum torque is an equally impressive 516lb ft. The typical driving range in E-mode is between 25 and 30 miles, sources say.
BMW is testing also a X3 M version, video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSk6-EHts8Q
