BMW M2 CS Prototype Spied With LCI Parts, Larger Brakes and M3/M4 Exhaust

BMW M2 CS prototype has been spied wearing LCI bits. Until now, The BMW M2 CS has been spotted with M3/M4 sound, but on the exterior design look like a standard BMW M2. The BMW 2 CS prototype features the same refreshed headlights, tail ligts and grilles similar to the standar BMW 2 Series LCI prototypes, but huge camouflage covering the front bumper indicated a significant design change up front.

The most significant sign that the spy photos is BMW M2 CS and not the standard LCI M2 are the much larger steel brakes and M3/M4 like exhaust canister. As you can see, there are different compares to the standard M2 LCI prototype which feature the current BMW M2 brakes and exhaust.

The BMW M2 CS will feature the same engine with M3/M4, which is S55 engine, but will be tuned to 400 HP. In addition to the new engine, the M2 CS will feature other track focused bits such as suspension tweaks and aerodynamic parts – such as more aggressive front bumper / front splitter and rear spoiler or wing. Expect a throatier exhaust and possibly optional carbon ceramic brakes as well. It will come to market in 2018 for europe and mid year 2019 in US.
