Constructing the 1200 km/h Hyperloop “train”. BMW Welcomes.

The Hyperloop is an idea of a transportation system that can transport people with supersonic speed up to 1200 km/h (745 mph). For example: It could transport people from Los Angeles to San Francisco in about thirty minutes.

Computer scientist Mariana Avezum works with a team on the first prototypes which include a turbo-compressor and a magnetic levitation system. Since its inception 7 months ago the team has gone through several iterations to achieve a secure and scalable prototype design. The design and the construction process is illustrated by the presentation of the challenges and the solutions found on the way.
